I have to travel in a commercial flight and I have a 46 inches lcd tv that i intnd to carry along. Will this item in it’s package about 35kgs be accepted as my luggage.

Some may accept it as excess baggage, others may insist it goes as cargo.

I wanted to know is there any Glass cover readymade ( to fit 46 inch) available in the market.
I would like to protect LCD against any human damage ( accidently or unaccidently).

I would think Plexi-glass should protect it, Go to a plexi-glass shop and have it made. Iknow the Xerox LCD monitors have them and i think it is cool.

I want to sell it for parts, not as a working tv.

It is hard to determine exactly how much you should charge for the parts, so I would suggest going to craigslist.com or maybe even ebay and see what others are charging, and undercut them!

Our new LCD TV came today. The picture is gorgeous. The only downside right now is that we can’t take full advantage of the display, because we haven’t subscribed to any HD cable programming or purchased an upconverting DVD player just yet.

Are you talking about the old original Core model that got replaced by the Arcade? The didn’t have hdmi connections.

Honestly any Sony TV is good. I personaly have a 46″ Sony Bravia KDL46S4600 LCD HDTV from 2006. It STILL looks amazing and not a single dead pixle. You can get 46″ Sony tvs’ pretty cheap now. Good luck.

NO not Vizio, very off brand company. And picture looks terrible!!
Get a 46″ Sony Bravia, or better yet their XBR units.
Or Toshiba’s Regza series are nice also.
