I was looking at the exact two TV’s but decided to go for the 37LG30 (LG) instead. It’s only $ 100 bucks more from Best Buy. But if i had to choose from both of those, I would go with the Samsung. It’s a better brand in general.

hello i found a 42inch vizio 1080p 60hz i will use this tv 90% of the time playing games on my xbox 360. will the 60hz stink on a tv that big i dont want to spend $ 80 more for 120hz if 60hz will play just fine on a 42inch tv

42 inch is the lowest you can go to get the FULL benefits of an HD tv. BUT, I would say the BEST TV on a budget would have to be a tv that is both 1080p AND at 72hz. Also, you should always look at the contrast ratio as well, some TV would have big numbers on everything but lag it on the ratio. Panasonic came out with a TV recently that is 60inch, 1million:1 ratio, 120hz, 1080p, AND internet connectivity for ONE GRAND.

I need to know the best setting for the picture Quality, so that its not fuzzy and i need the best color settings. i have a vizo 32″ LCD HDTV. i want it too look like the picture Quality at the store like best buy.

Make sure you are tuned to an HDTV station..?? Are you on a cable box with HD?? Satellite?? ON my cable box, the normal channel 4 is like the old analog.. Channel 404 is in HD.. (Different in other areas.) Check with your cable provider. I also like to run the Sharpness in the ‘Picture’ options rather high. Part of your Menu settings… Most sets are pretty well set up when sold in a default condition..

I saw Costco has a 60″ Vizio 720p LCD TV for $ 2199 and it looks really tempting. So how do you like it?
How is the build?
Is it bright enough?

The Samsung is $ 499 and the Vizio is $ 549. I already bought the Samsung just to secure the low price for Black Friday. The Vizio is still out at Costco…should I return my Samsung and get the Vizio?

I don’t think I’ll be watching much sports but will be watching some HD channels that comes with my service. I won’t be getting NBA TV or NFL Network but will be hosting main events like Super Bowl or NBA Finals. So I’ll be rarely using it. I’m not a huge BluRay or movie watcher either. I just needed a better TV then my 19inch 90′s tv haha.

What do you guys think?

Bad Tv… Bad Remote… Bad Service…

I bought this TV from Walmart after reading CNET editor choice review. I paid delivery charges and when I tried to start this out of box new product it did not start. I have never seen anything like this in my life. A brand new product not working …

I guess CNET editor’s reviews are paid reviews …

VIZIO is smart to spend money on it because people trust on online reviews more than TV ads .

I called their tech support they don’t know if the problem is in the TV or remote. the support guy was very rude. he is going to send me another remote after 10 days … still waiting … he told me to try with new remote (10 days waiting and still waiting ) after that he will judge if the problem is in the TV or remote.

I don’t have a choice here, I also wrote to emails addresses available on their website but no response …

when you go to the store, some people dont mind but look at the difference between 1080p and 720p witch will give you a better pic quality and sometimes its worth getting the 1080p verse a add on theater system. specially if you play video games like me you want the best picture possible.

I recently got a Vizio M261VP LED LCD HDTV and when I connect my PS3 with the HDMI cable, it looks beautiful. But, when I try to connect my PS2 with the normal colored cables (yellow, red and white) the audio works but the video looks mainly blue. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

try jiggling the yellow cord or try putting it a different place make sure your ps2 works on a different tv too

Usually with broken screens on most appliances it would cost more the buy a new one
